RANT & REVIEW- Lush Porridge Soap
Although not make-up chances are if you’re into beauty you are into Lush. Speciality soaps just make you feel pretty all over! I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a Lush-a-holic but i do from time to time walz in there and spend way to much money on some soap and skincare. I recently picked Porridge soap because i had been hearing on YouTube about how amazing it is. I always passed it up i nthe store but decided to go ahead and get a small chunk to test out. My final Verdict is Porridge soap is gross!

(here is a closeup of the soap)
Let me breakdown the nastiness of Porridge for y’all in the areas that gross me out the most
SMELL: So according to Lush it smells like molasses but according to me it smells like ass. Actually what it truly smells like is someone burped their breakfast in your face. See aside from oats there is this whole orange juice mimosa element to the soap. Normally I love that citrusy burst of scent in the morning but this doesnt smell like a mimosa it smells like your breathe the morning after a mimosa drinking binge.
TEXTURE: So I’m kind of a body scrub/exfoliater junkie. I love anything that promises a good scrub and i have heard that this soap fits the bill but i beg to differ. The oats do not provide much of a scrub at all they get pretty soft in the shower actually and up just flaking off and sticking to everything. The actual soap part of the soap gets very mushy kind of like soap scum. I always feel like i need to use “real” soap after i use porridge.
MESS: So if this soap smells like someone burped their breakfast in your face the aftermath of using it looks like someone puked their breakfast all over you and your shower. Those oats get EVERWHERE! I seriously spend more time cleaning the shower afterwards than i do showering.
Overall unless you want to smell like a breakfast gone bad I do not reccommend this soap to you. However if you would like to see for yourself porrdige can be found here http://www.lushusa.com/shop/products/bath-shower/soap/porridge
